Handmade Bluebird box by local artist Danny Brienza. Constructed of reclaimed wood and designed specifically for mountain and western bluebirds.

Bluebirds are easily attracted to boxes if they are in your area. Once established, Bluebirds will return every spring in March or April. They may have 2 to 3 broods of chicks in a season. Bluebirds are territorial and will battle another bluebird in their zone. Their numbers have declined due to loss of natural nesting sites. This box may also attract flycatchers or titmice. Clean out old nests in the fall, when all activity has stopped.

Hang 6-10 feet above ground away from prevailing winds pointed towards a tree or perch near low vegetation. One bluebird box/2-3 acres or 400-600 feet apart.
