From the Artist: With plants from the surrounding desert and mountains of Northern New Mexico, this earthy high-fired stoneware captures the Southwest landscape. The clay has been impressed with native grasses and leaves from trees, vegetables, vines and perennials -- gathered at home, in the woods and along the road. The pottery is handcrafted and reduction-fired in a natural-gas kiln to 2350 degrees.
