Pressed Wildflower Notecards

I am Kay Hable from Corsicana, Texas. I have always enjoyed gardening even as a child. My father was a true naturalist and instilled in me at an early age my interest in wildflowers, tree knots, bird nests.. you name it!

Even though I pressed many a flower in a phone book or journal when I was younger, in the past ten or so years I have been pressing wildflowers in real presses, creating notecards and framed bouquets for gifts for friends.

Through my work, I try to present my wildflowers as miniature paintings in antique frames... giving special attention to their delicate, tiny details and their vibrant colors that become so visible when pressed.

Each season brings a different variety of flowers, leaves, and unusual plants and I look forward to a different panarama of color and shapes.

Every design is its own and a pleasure to create.
