Decorative Painting

"Early one morning when I was three, my mother found me sitting under a flowering bush, drawing it. Albeit with some fits and starts, I've been drawing and painting ever since. When I am making art I am in the moment - contented, excited, and enlivened.

"I majored in art at San Francisco State University and attended the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland. I've been a weaver and embroiderer of tapestries and I owned a fabric store specializing in hand-woven natural fiber textiles from around the world.

"I am especially drawn to the richly varied decorative art forms in the dwellings, shrines, furniture, clothing, and everyday objects of many cultures.

"Currently I do decorative wall painting for businesses and homes in northern New Mexico and northern California."
